Children's Music

Singing an Anthem
On Family Sundays, the children of our Sunday School raise their voices in an anthem. They rehearse throughout the month with our Director of Music, building confidence and discovering the joy of lifting a song in worship. Thats the goal but we all understand the vicissitudes of growing up. At the last minute your child might not be able to be here or might be too scared to come to the front. We get it and officially and forever relieve you of guilt! This opportunity is designed to be as stress-free and affirming as possible: no pressure, no perfection required, just the beautiful, unrepeatable sound of young people singing to the glory of God.

The St. Michael Choir
Our children are welcome to join this multi-generational group. Christ Church is excited to welcome a new voice to our worship: handbells. Our bell choir is open to anyone who can count to six. Really. The ability to read music is not required, and if you want to play more than one bell, you just need to know the difference between red and blue. The group will rehearse together for about five weeks before participating in worship, so there is no long-term commitment, just a short, joyful season of making music together. If you have ever wondered whether your wrist can snap a handbell (it probably can), Fr. Dave will be leading the group and is happy to let you give it a try. Come ring with us. With intense gratitude for the gift, the choir will be called the St Michael Choir.
